Bedroom Painting Times Two

This has been quite a busy summer!!

I painted two rooms recently...and it was long overdue.....
.
One of the rooms used to belonged to her daughter,
who has long since married and moved out and into a home of her own!

Here is how the room looked before.

Very bright yellow, and holes patched everywhere.

She chose a color that she had already painted in the other bedroom and she she knew she already loved it!!

I agree,  it is very calming!

Then we went on to her bedroom.....

Here it is before we got started painting.

I taped up the walls, trim and windows and got to work :)

I love to paint,  it is so therapeutic!

WOW what a difference it made!!

Office Painting

WOW,  I have been BUSY!!!

I completed this office last week for my cousin, it happens to be right next to the room I recently painted for her pictured here.

This is the office I painted for her husband,
who has the privilege of being able to work from home a lot.

The color reminded me of my childhood room,
it was such a calming color,
but not quite fit for a grown man's office!
It was a pleasure to be able to turn it into a lovely space for them!!!

This is after the first coat of paint,  a lot better already!

I love the way it turned out and it only took me 2 1/2 hours!!!!!

As I was leaving I noticed a painting I had done at least 12 years ago for my other cousins home!!! It was so neat to see it again in her new home looking beautiful on the wall!!!

Kitchen Cabinets Painting

Last weekend I started a kitchen cabinet painting project for a client.
She had an idea in mind and I did my best to make her idea come to fruition!
It was a fun project to work on because I had help along the way,
she was just about as busy as I was and it REALLY made a BIG difference in the end product!!!

Here is my clients kitchen before and during the process...

After the first coat of primer, so much brighter already!!

The backs and fronts painted with the creamy paint that she picked out.

Now it was time for the stain wash over the surfaces of the cabinets,
there was a lot of trial and error in this step,
I had to be patient and accept that NOTHING is perfect!!!

I just love the way the stain crept into all the crevices!

Here is the completed kitchen, she LOVED it!!!!!

Now for the handles to be picked out,  I am looking forward to seeing how it looks after she has completed the kitchen!!!

This project took me 5 days to complete,
and put me in fantastic shape!!!!!

Tree house Painting

This past weekend I had the pleasure of painting my cousins childhood playhouse.
He has since grown up and moved on to bigger and better things and no longer plays in it.
However his nieces and nephews do and it needed a little sprucing up!

The playhouse previously had walls and a door, like a little house...
I don't have a before pic, but you can imagine it was a little closed in and HOT in the summertime, especially in Georgia!

Here is how it looked when I arrived,
they had already done the demolition work all I needed to do was paint it!

My uncle built a climbing wall, which will be stained once it weathers
and the knobs will be painted also!
(more pics to come)

Here it is after the first day of work.....

Here is the completed paint job!!!
I love how it turned out!!

The ceiling is my favorite part,  the little skylight and the red rafters!!!
I am so inspired to build a tree house after doing this job, stay tuned.....

So much brighter!!

Next the climbing wall will be stained and the knobs will be painted......
more pics to come!
